Vodafone is the third largest mobile operator in the Netherlands, and was previously called Libertel. Vodafone Netherlands has 5,3 million subscribers, it has around 2,800 employees and is based in Maastricht. It was the first mobile operator in the Netherlands to launch UMTS.
