Entel : Chile

Entel Chile was founded in 1964 for the need seen at the time to have a company offering long distance calls and to improve telecommunications quality within the country.

In 1997, Entel was the first mobile operator in Chile to launch GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) and in 2006 it became the first operator in Latin America to launch a 3.5G network on a commercial scale. Entel currently has about 6 million subscribers and is the second largest mobile operator in Chile.

In July 2011, Entel launched Speedperform Mobile SupportWare. Entel has chosen a multichannel support strategy with device support information being accessible through mobile, website and call center. In this way Entel is offering its customers the advantages of being a pioneer in South America by using Speedperform’s state-of-the-art technology and innovative support solutions for mobile devices to enhance the quality of its services. The website application has achieved impressive SEO results.
